While it is not the best, it was taken in 1997 with my first digital camera.  As far as I know, I am pretty sure this is the only picture I have of all three of the cat’s together.  This page will evolve as time goes on and I think this is a fair beginning for my friends to live on in my heart and to never forget them.  From left to right, Lawry, Sparky and Nestle

When we first brought Loki home.  She was rescued from the life of res dog.  Her mother was only given rice and left over Chinese food while she was pregnant with her.  I picked her because she came out from the litter to me three different times while I was checking out the other pups while the others just lay around or hid.  She was responding to her name within about 2 hours.

I’ve added a new gallery enahncement.  Below is all the good pics of my animal friends over the years.  I don’t have a lot but at least I have some of all of them.  I need to add the ones I am babysitting.  I am beginning to think that maybe they will become ours as well.  Not that it matters, they are my friends too.

These are the last pictures of my oldest friend Nestle when I was saying good bye.  Nestle was born some time in April of 1994.   They were taken March 29th 2012 just a few moments before he left. He was 18.  He loved sleeping with me as you can see.  And he loved giving hugs by wrapping his paws around my neck.  We still get to visit from time to time, he’s playing some where in the backyard under the rainbow bridge.  he always wanted to be an outdoor kitty but  I could not bring my self to let him for fear of loosing him.  I also have a cast paw print that Pam and Brenda made for me.

I don’t have a lot of Lawry.  She was born sometime in April of 1994.  I lost her in May 0f 2008 in Marksville.  I did have some photos that got lost back in 2000 when I lost a years worth of pictures due to a hard drive failure.  I remember my favorite of her quite well.  Lawry loved sitting in the window sill looking out in to the world.  It was taken some time in 1998 or 1999.  The room was dark and the blinds were drawn just enough to allow her to sit in the window sill as she loved to do.  She stood out bright and clear in the light of the day streaming though the window while the room was dark.  She now sits in the kitchen window of our kitchen in Bossier.  I have a small cast print of her paw that the veterinarian in Marksville

Sparky is the last of my three feline friends still with me. She was a wayward waif on my door step in October of 1995, that would make her 17 now. She was a very young cat at the time but not a kitten. I suspect she was born in the summer time. I was going to work one frosty Utah morning when I found her on my door step. I told her that she could not stay since I already had two to take care of. But she did not listen and was still at my door that night. I shook my head and went inside. She was still on my doorstep the next morning and I again told her that she could not stay. And again she ignored me as was still at my step that night. On the third day, I told her that if she were still at my door when I got home that night, she could stay. When I got home, she was no where to be found. I meowed for her but still no Sparky. I looked for her and found her fast asleep under the broken steps of the porch, so I scooped her up and brought her in to introduce her to her new family.

As I mentioned earlier, Loki was born July 15th of 2002 and I have had her since she was about 6 weeks old. She lost the use of her back right leg in September of 2010 but has for the most part recovered it’s use. The first two years of her life she was an outdoor dog in Utah but became an apartment dog when I lost my house until I moved back to Marksville in late 2007. She was primarly still an indoor dog since I did not have a fence around the place. She now lives in the backyard with Sugar and Red in Bossier City.

In the Spring of 2012 Gary, my brother-in-law, got a promotion and had to move and could not take his dogs with him. He was concerned at the time about who would take in two senior dogs. I put his mind at rest and offered my backyard for their new home. Red Bone is about 10 years old and Sugar I am not so sure but think she may be a year or two younger. Red loves to talk  and Sugar loves to play with me. They are both sweethearts and welcome in my home for as long they need and to the end of their days on this earth if need be.

The only known picture of my white german shepherd, Shoshoni Little Snow.  She was registered AKC.  She was a rescue from southern Utah in the summer of 03.  It took Loki and her about two days to learn how to get along with each other.  Shoni as we called her was about 3 or 4 years old.  She was food aggressive but that was her only problem. Unfortunately when I left Utah in 04, she could not come with us. Karen took her to a no kill shelter.  Luckily they had the room for her.
